Oktoberfest: The Musical. Almost true

The musical tells the story of Ludwig I of Bavaria and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen, whose marriage gave rise to the Oktoberfest as we still celebrate it today. An entertaining evening with plenty of wit awaits visitors.

Since this marriage not only gave rise to numerous stories and children, but also to the famous Oktoberfest, the internationally acclaimed composer Harold Faltermeyer (Grammy winner for Axel F and Top Gun, composer for Donna Summer and others) and the renowned author Philip LaZebnik (Pocahontas, Prince of Egypt and others) have turned the story of the origins of this festival, which is shrouded in many myths, into a rousing play.

The Renaissance Theater presents the German-language premiere under the direction of artistic director Guntbert Warns. With live band.

The performance lasts approx. 115 minutes, including intermission.

Artists/Collaborators: Harold Faltermeyer (Komponist/in), Philip LaZebnik (Autor/in), Christoph Marti (Geschwister Pfister), Tobias Bonn (Geschwister Pfister), Winnie Böwe, Marie Nest, Heather Litteer, Manal Raga a Sabit, Moritz C.
