“We need to find a new way of living together, in which the ‘I’ gives way to the ‘we’, in which individual well-being is inconceivable without shared well-being.” In “La Isla”, Agrupación Señor Serrano from Barcelona take their statement as the basis for the search for this “we”. Who belongs to this “we” and who does not? Dancers try to find out in dialogue with artificial intelligence. Since the beginning of studies on AI in the 1950s, machine learning systems have been portrayed as a threat. How could this work differently? What if we invite artificial intelligence to imagine “us”, to imagine a place for “us”? What if we invite them to collaborate on the performance?
