Psychic Liberation (PL) is a label founded in 2013 that originally ran with Miguel Alvariño under the title Primitive Languages as a cassette and record store project in New York City. Since 2019, Nick Klein has been running it solo out of the EU under the title Psychic Liberation. On September 21st Joyul, Ultrafog and Julia Koffler will perform at the monthly concert series of the same name in the Roter Salon – curated by Nick Klein.

Ultrafog is a musician and guitarist out of Kanagawa, Japan. His music can be categorized in Ambient music but it has lots of influences from a large range of abstract music. His works have been released by Motion Ward, City-2 St.giga, angoisse, Solitude Solutions, etc. He also runs a mix series ‘vowel’.

Júlia Koffler is a vocalist and sound artist from Hungary, currently based in Berlin.Her work is informed by vocal research, an interest in timbre and technology, and the relationship between voice and its varied cultural articulations, taking shape through different formats such as installation, video, spatial audio pieces, and performance. Her live shows comprise a use of voice, tape, and electronics to explore how vocal expression and its technological mediation unfold in a spatial setting.

Joyul is a musician and performance artist based in Seoul, South Korea. She has been expanding the scope of her body as a sound medium by conjugating new instruments, leaning into her desire to produce beastly sounds. In the performance Three tails, amplifying reverberation(2023) for Porsche Scopes, she explored the physicality of electronic music performance by becoming a sound-generating body in a huge room equipped with sound objects and effect pedals. On Earwitness(2021), her debut on Psychic Liberations X Helicopter Records, Joyul explores her interest in undisclosed forms by taking on the role of a sonic sculptor;
