Lasting Generation

Theresa Reiwer

What if AI served neither as an assistant nor as a competitor, but as an ally against polarisation and exploitation? How can this technology – originally designed for war and control – be reinterpreted in a utopian way? Welcome to the first hybrid symposium organised by artificially intelligent entities! They want to make us humans responsible for the future of the planet, but they find their biotic ancestors' energy debts to be unreasonable. A debate begins. A walk-in “social” media installation unfolds in HAU2, allowing visitors and virtual avatars meet via screens.

approx. 55 mins.

Artists/Collaborators: Theresa Reiwer (Konzept, Text, Regie, Raum), David Egger (Co-Regie, 3D-Animation, Licht), Alisa Tretau (Text, Dramaturgie), Christian Bikadi (3D-Animation, Editing), Shaly Lopez (3D-Animation), Bernhard Hollinger & Kenji Tanaka (Musik, Sounddesign), Ploypapus Phosri (Interaktive Visuals), Rodrigo Zorzanelli Cavalcanti (Motion Capture), Rodrigo Zorzanelli Cavalcanti (Produktionsleitung), David Egger (Technische Leitung)

This work is an immersive video room installation. Strobe lights and fog are used, and there are also moments of high volume. Hearing protection is available free of charge at the cloakroom. Forms of discrimination such as racism, sexism, misogyny, queerophobia, ableism and classism will be addressed.
