Football and Displacement: What does one have to do with the other?

Live viewing of UEFA Euro football games and discussion

June 20 is World Refugee Day – this year it coincides with the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship. Together with our co-operation partner UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency, we combine these topics and ask: What do sports mean for refugees? Our guests include a Bundesliga coach, the former head of the Afghan national football team, Olympic athletes and others. In addition, we will be screening two top matches live at the Documentation Centre: England versus Denmark and Italy versus Spain. Look forward to exciting guests and exciting games over beer and pretzels.
