From Damascus to Berlin
The Ajam Quartet is a fascinating acoustic fusion ensemble from Berlin.
Four virtuoso musicians, each a strong representative of their own cultural background, have come together to create a delightful mix of different styles and genres, such as Middle Eastern folk music, European classical, jazz, rock with a pinch of Berlin madness.
Since their founding in 2018, the band has released two albums: Migrating Tunes with extraordinary arrangements of well-known Arabic, Turkish and European classics and Echoes & Blossoms with eight expressive original compositions. In the upcoming concert, the Ajam Quartet will present the selected pieces from both albums, as well as new compositions that the four artists are currently working on.
