Five musicians from different backgrounds enter the hunting grounds of storytelling and improvisation together, and in doing so bring up what tends to remain unspoken: the personal abyss.

What began as a song cycle entitled "Songs About Healing" has now developed into a full-length programme dealing with the themes of loss, grief and emotional crisis.In episodic sections - ranging from abstract to concrete to absurd - the quintet offers meditative railings to linger on, cosy discomfort and sometimes even a reason to laugh.

The unorthodox (for jazz at least) line-up of voice, violin, trombone, piano and double bass combines acoustic with electronic timbres and shines with an unusual chamber music sound.
