Rainer Sommer and the Entertainer

A swinging revue with exquisite and popular sound delicacies from classical, swing and pop music from the 50s-70s.

Under the direction of the charming singer and saxophonist Rainer Sommer, the entertainers offer an entertaining selection of popular hits from swing, classical and pop music from the 50s and 60s through to the 70s and 80s with the instruments saxophone, clarinet, piano, guitar, double bass and, of course, their vocals.

Unforgotten melodies bring back fond memories, the songs of Bill Ramsey, Caterina Valente, Peter Alexander, Louis Armstrong, Mr. Acker Bilk, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Hans Moser, Ernst Mosch, Udo Jürgens and many more. The versatile repertoire of this formation, the interesting vocal arrangements and last but not least the humorous way of presentation give this concert the right “swing”!
