KONTAKT Ep. I - Ghosts in the Machine - Krawen - Séance

Luis August Krawen’s new series of events KONTAKT is dedicated to exploring communication with the beyond. This essentially theatrical process of establishing contact with the other will be examined through the lens of novel forms of rituality in today’s complex technological world, in which the glitch is perhaps more fascinating than regular functioning. The glitch offers 21st-century ghost hunters a mystical experience that achieves a new meaning through the lens of the paranormal. This meaning, however, is only validated by integrating the misfiring machine into performative acts, which momentarily produces a different, expanded reality. The series KONTAKT declares this liminal state as the core object of investigation.
