The sculptures are often staged with light and sound effects while video clips are shown on built-in monitors. Tracey Snelling's objects and installations refer to the complexity of a world in which images are omnipresent and interchangeable and in which fictions increasingly overlap and merge with reality. The project at Haus am Lützowplatz (HaL) is the most comprehensive exhibition to date of the widely traveled and internationally renowned artist in her adopted home city and reflects her residencies in New Orleans (2018), Shanghai (2018-19), Paris (2020), Ann Arbor/Michigan (2022) and Tokyo (2022).
