still]a[life brings together artistic positions that focus on the non-human environment and objects that originate from nature or the world of things that surrounds us. When time stands still, things begin to speak of themselves, of a life outside human spheres. Stories of staged, museum-like observations of nature come into view, just as dead matter is awakened to mysterious life or frozen messages take on a timeless symbolism. If one enters into this quiet world, tense narratives become recognizable, which, precisely through the absence of the human, speak allegorically of the human condition in the mirror of transience.
