Picture book cinema ‘The Suitcase’ by Chris Naylor Ballesteros

Children's Culture Month

Every October, during Children'sCultureMonth, you and your family are invited to take part in a unique programme of activities. Museums, art and music schools, theatres, galleries, dance schools, cinemas and much more open their doors across Berlin so that you can paint, explore, dance, make music and more. There's something exciting for everyone aged 4 to 12!

Are you ready for a special reading experience? Together we will travel through stories in the picture book cinema that tell of arriving and making friends in a foreign place.

‘The Suitcase’ by Chris Naylor Ballesteros

Rabbit, Bird and Fox meet a stranger with a suitcase. They are suspicious, but when they open his suitcase, they discover a broken cup and a photo of his home. Ashamed, they help the stranger and learn the meaning of tolerance and compassion. Together with Rabbit, Bird and Fox, you will experience how important it is to treat others openly and kindly – and how beautiful it is to celebrate differences.
