»Kant & Königsberg«

Travelling exhibition

Out of the darkness comes the light: to mark the Immanuel Kant Year 2024, the 300th anniversary of the philosopher's birth, the Deutsche Kulturforum östliches Europa is showing the travelling exhibition »Kant & Königsberg«. Twelve panels in German and English provide an overview of Kant's biography, his place of work Königsberg in Prussia, its university and the region in a contemporary historical context. The focus is on the cultural-historical classification of the philosopher and his place of work, and Kant's works and their reception are summarised. The exhibition also aims to familiarise young people with the Königsberg philosopher through »children's corners«.

The Deutsches Kulturforum östliches Europa co-operates with the Ostpreußisches Landesmuseum Lüneburg and the Bundesinstitut für Kultur und Geschichte des östlichen Europa.
