Group exibition: Disturbance

The Disturbance exhibition was created under the direction of Sven Marquardt in the 2023/24 seminar. 9 photographers worked together to develop the exhibition concept.

The up and coming talents began their very own path in the fall of 2023 and continued to develop their photography for over a year. In the special process made possible by the Ostkreuzschule, they explored their own personal boundaries and found their images on the theme of “Disturbance”. Quote from Sven Marquardt: “Wild people leave wild things behind...”

The participating artists are: Jeremy Borger, Marcus Engler, Sven M. Gerhardt, Sascha Hoecker, Veit Jedamski, Marvin Jipp, Marija Narvois, Johannes Prondzinsky, Phoenix Joel Zilm.

About the Ostkreuz School:

The Ostkreuzschule is one of the most important training centers for documentary photography, artistic photography and photojournalism in Germany. The teachers and graduates publish worldwide in the most important media, exhibit in major museums and galleries and are awarded the most prestigious prizes. The private school emerged from the renowned Ostkreuz agency. It was founded in 2004 by Werner Mahler and Thomas Sandberg, and its teaching was influenced by Prof. Ute Mahler, Sibylle Bergemann and Prof. Arno Fischer, among others. Since 2023, it has been managed by Lia Darjes and Jörg Brüggemann.
