This exhibition focuses on the young generation in our society and uses various art forms to approach the question of what concerns young people today.
Climate change, epidemics, wars and a shift to the right... What does it feel like to grow up today? What personal and social challenges are eighteen-year-olds facing? What gives them hope? What is their vision of a better world?
The multimedia exhibition “Eighteen” invites you to immerse yourself in the world of thought of a generation that is just coming of age by means of portrait photographs, voices and moving images. A journey across Germany - from the Alps to the North Sea, to big cities and villages, to playgrounds, freeway blockades and theater stages, to children's rooms, military barracks and youth detention centers.
In these emotionally charged places, the protagonists provide insights into their personal realities and social perspectives and open up spaces that invite people to reflect on the issues of our time.
