In the cabinet exhibition Zeitungsleser:innen, the Museum für Kommunikation Berlin is presenting a selection of his best works from August 21, 2024 to January 12, 2025. The approximately 80 photographs allow the people portrayed to merge with their newspapers for a moment in the middle of big cities. They are reminiscent of an analog yet mobile world of information and news that Posthuma de Boer has documented in public spaces such as streets, stairs, park benches, stores and cafés.

Eddy Posthuma de Boer (1931-2021) was one of the best-known Dutch photographers of the post-war period. He worked for many years for the daily newspapers Het Parool and de Volkskrant and for magazines such as Holland Herald and Time Life. Together with his friend and colleague, the writer Cees Nooteboom, he traveled around the world for Avenue magazine.
