Einblick in die Ausstellung

The permanent exhibition "All about Anne" is the only exhibition on the history of National Socialism in Berlin that is specifically aimed at children, young people and families. The exhibition is a place of learning where visitors gain personal access to the history of the Holocaust through Anne Frank's life and her diary. At interactive stations, they are invited to participate in order to find their own answers to the question of what Anne Frank's story has to do with them today and what it means to them. The exhibition deals with the topic of anti-Semitism in the past and present. For example, anti-Semitic accusations of forgery, with which Otto Frank, Anne's father, was confronted in relation to the diary, are linked to current examples of anti-Semitic incidents. These are shown in the exhibition, as are the voices of those affected. The exhibition is largely inclusive and has monitors with sign language translations and a guidance system for the blind. A comprehensive glossary and exhibition texts in clear language make it easier for people with learning difficulties, among others, to understand. Visitors can touch a model of the rear building, a portrait of Anne Frank and a copy of the diary. The exhibition thus contributes to the implementation of the right to equal participation in society.
