On 420 square meters the exhibition is dedicated to the history of the division of Berlin. It explains the political-historical background from the building of the Wall to the fall of the Wall and reunification. How did the Wall come to be built? Why did the Wall stand for so long? Why did it fall in 1989? These questions are the focus of the multimedia exhibition with numerous objects, biographical documents and audiovisual media. In this way, the exhibition combines the history of political events and everyday life and shows the consequences that the brutal division of the city had for the people.
