150 years: Twelve Apostles Church Exhibition: Light show

On September 29, the sounds of the organ, played and selected by cantor Hyelin Hur, will set the rhythm for a new light show in the Church of the Twelve Apostles. This was specially designed by the Berlin-based company LichtWerk, which has already spectacularly illuminated Berlin Cathedral.

The Twelve Apostles Church appears in a new light and becomes a special experience thanks to the illuminated colors and shapes.Only on this evening, at the end of the organ playing and the light production by the LichtWerk company, Pastor Bornemann will read from the texts and poems of the poet Else Lasker-Schüler. She lived in the neighborhood of the Zwölf-Apostel-Kirchengemeinde from 1924 to 1933. The street leading from Nollendorfplatz to the Church of the Twelve Apostles was named after her.The new light show with organ music and readings will only be presented on Sunday, 29.09.2024. After that, only the light installation can be seen until Sunday, 06.10.2024.
