A multitude of signs are hidden in the paintings of the Old Masters. However, the language of painting from the Renaissance to the Baroque has become unfamiliar to us today. In this tandem tour, biologist Ursula Müller and art historian Thomas Hoffmann show us how to decipher the paintings and their symbolism. The aim is to provide an approach to "reading" the paintings using meaningful pictorial examples.
