The team of the project on the Sámi collection at the MEK provides insights into provenance research and presents initial results. Finnish provenance researcher Eeva-Kristiina Nylander will give a guided tour of the “Áimmuin” project room. This session will focus specifically on Sámi duodji, inadequately translated as “handicrafts”, and on rematriation, pointing out how it is different to “repatriation”.
