Prince Carl of Prussia, as the descendant son of Frederick William III, was always in the political shadow of his older brothers Frederick William IV and William I. Through the reconstruction of Glienicke Palace and the creation of the Glienicke Palace and Landscape Garden in its present form, Prince Carl left a rare gem to posterity.
The special guided tour focuses on the monastery courtyard, a reminiscence of the medieval monastery complexes of Venice with numerous original building elements, and reports on the necessary, upcoming restoration work on this special park architecture.
