Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp

Did you know that Sachsenhausen was the first purpose-built Nazi Concentration camp? As such, it became the "model camp" and was a stage for countless atrocities. Our tour looks not only at WHAT happened, but WHY. We'll discuss the psychology of the perpetrators and examine just who they were and why they believed what they believed. We'll tour the camp to learn about the evolution of the system and what life was like for the prisoners inside.

Hints:
• Up to 15 participants (minimum is 1)
• Duration: 300 minutes

Please bring:
Water, snack, sun glasses, sun screen, hat/cap, umbrella, warm clothing – whatever you need (depending on the season). The tours run regardless of the weather.

• Standrad fee (adults): €47
• Reduced fee (under 18 year-olds, Students, Pensioners, Holders of Berlin pass, Welcome, City Tour, and ISIC cards): €42

Directions to the meeting point:
Exit the Friedrichstraße station heading south, Starbucks will be on your left after 2-minute walk. We are meeting outside Starbucks.

Please note that you will need to buy Berlin public transport all day pass (zones ABC) for €7,70.
