Open the gates

- an overview tour of the house with the golden dome and our permanent exhibition.

Together we will explore the house with its surviving parts and the traces of destruction, the synagogue used in the house today and our permanent exhibition. Many stories that have taken place in Oranienburger Straße, of open gates with Hebrew letters and ruins, of weddings and courageous policemen, prophets and rabbis, of hope and destruction, will accompany us on our way. They are always about ambivalences, changes of perspective, self-determination and heteronomy - and often also about language, its religious meaning and its everyday use.

Duration: 12:30-14:00

Meeting point: 12:30 in the entrance area of the museum. Please allow time for the security check.
