Open Lab Evening: Understanding quantum technologies with ease

Quantum 1x1

At Quantum 1x1, you will learn about the wondrous phenomena of quanta and discover how they will change our future. Play a round of our new game "Quantum TicTacToe" with us or encrypt secret messages with our quantum key generator. Aha moments guaranteed!

Quantum technologies could change our lives in the same way that the invention of classical computers once did. In the world of quanta, new physical laws suddenly apply. But what is quantum technology anyway? What is entanglement? How does quantum cryptography work? And what exactly is a quantum again?

To bring you closer to the world of quanta, we have brought along our newly developed games that you can try out for yourself. There will also be videos, information material and our quantum experts who will take you on an adventurous journey through the quantum jungle!

The workshop is open to everyone. You don't need any previous knowledge, just a desire to discover the quantum world!

Information, videos and materials on quantum technologies can be found here.

What is an Open Lab evening?

Every Thursday it gets creative in the lab. You will learn about methods such as design thinking or future storytelling, can try out 3D printers and laser cutters and take a look behind the scenes of the Lab projects. There's something new every week.

Workshop management

The Education Innovation Lab is a think & do tank. In close collaboration with experts, teachers and students, they create learning environments that enable critical thinking and active shaping of a sustainable future.

Young inventors is a non-profit organization with the aim of empowering people to actively and sustainably shape the world with digital tools. Since 2016, the Junge Tüftler*innen team has grown into a colorful team of experts from the fields of education, design, computer science, music and, of course, making & coding and many more. This diversity enables them to develop innovative formats and content and put them into practice.
