MUSHROOMS, MUSHROOMS! WELL-CONNECTED SUPERSTARS

Fall vacation at the Labyrinth Children's Museum

Collect knowledge about mushrooms with us at the Labyrinth Children's Museum! Our autumn holiday program "Mushrooms, mushrooms! Well-connected superstars" is all about these fascinating creatures. Many exciting activities await you from October 19 to November 3, 2024.

Grow a mushroom forest!

With your help, a mushroom forest will grow from upcycling materials in our upcycling workshop during the two weeks of the fall vacations. Every day you will make colorful mushrooms from paper, cardboard, fabric scraps and wool.

So that the gnomes and fairies in the forest also have a home, you can make mushroom houses every afternoon from Monday to Friday. At the weekends, mini mushroom worlds are created from natural materials, for which you are welcome to bring your own screw-top jar with a lid.

In the workshop "The secrets of wild mushrooms" (ages 4 and up), you will become mushroom researchers, learn lots of exciting facts about these special creatures and examine them under the microscope.

In "Mushrooms - the superheroes up close" (ages 6 and up), you can explore mushrooms under the microscope, find out how they help us bake and what other superpowers they have.

With so much knowledge in your luggage, you can go mushroom picking in our environmental exhibition "Naturally today! Join in for tomorrow!" Mushroom picture search and mushroom identification sheet will help you find them.

You can find out more exciting information about mushrooms - what they have in common with corals, for example - on our mushroom rally through the museum. Just pick it up at the cash desk!

Can't get enough of mushrooms? Then dig up the forest floor in our "Wild World" and create the best conditions for them to grow. There are also lots of activity games on the subject of mushrooms, in our book box you will find even more knowledge and funny stories and in the mushroom lounge there are even mushrooms to cuddle.
