Heimat im Exil with Stefan Burkoff (Verlag Mitte/Rand), Nathan Friedenberg (Mitte Museum), Gregor Lietzau (art historian) and Philipp Sukstorf (Stiftung Exilmuseum Berlin)
The volume explores questions of coping with and interpreting exile and flight during the Nazi era, using the examples of Robert Liebknecht (1903-1994), the writer and painter Paul Gurk (1880-1953) and Grete Bloch (1892-1944), a businesswoman and correspondence partner of Franz Kafka, among others.
In the contribution by the Stiftung Exilmuseum Berlin, six exiles from the Nazi era give their current view of flight, exile and return.
Realized with the kind support of the District Cultural Fund Mitte.
