Guided tour on the Open Monument Day

Guided tour (in German) of the garden and architecture on the Open Monument Day.

The Georg Kolbe Museum was designed by Ernst Rentsch in 1927/28 as an architectural ensemble for the sculptor. It is the only surviving studio building of the 1920s in Berlin. Georg Kolbe envisioned the ideal of an „open-air working space“ for the garden in the middle of his studio house ensemble. The sculptor created a special symbiosis of architecture, nature and sculpture in the interplay of light. Due to the construction of an exhibition, it is not possible to visit the interior.

Price info: The guided tours take place at 3 and 4 pm. Meeting place: Skulpturenhof. Art mediator: Karen Grunow
