Coordinator for the culture of remembrance Johanna Riedel in conversation with Andrea Theissen (1990-2017 museum director, 1997-2017 head of the art department) and Gerhard Hanke (1992-2021 district councillor) about the development of the citadel into an island of history: from the opening of the Spandau City History Museum in 1992 in the Armoury, to the museums on Spandau Castle and Citadel in the Commander´s House and the Archaeological Window, to the opening of the exhibition “Unveiled. Berlin and its monuments” in 2016.
