To mark the 30th anniversary of the Anne Frank Zentrum, we are organizing a joint walk through the Spandauer Vorstadt. This is where the history of Berlin's modern Jewish community began, when several Jewish families settled here in 1671. Here you will find the remains of Berlin's oldest Jewish cemetery and numerous Jewish institutions, such as the former children's home "Ahawa" and the Leo Baeck House, which housed the College for the Science of Judaism. In this part of the city you can discover traces of the past as well as places where Jewish life is still visible today.
