The Wall Tour is one of the most popular guided tours in Berlin and starts in Bernauer Strasse. Our Wall tour begins at this authentic site, which is now the location of an open-air documentary, and takes you along the former border strip in Berlin's city center. Find out about the construction and fall of the Wall and see the remains of the Wall and places where people tried to escape. The Wall tour ends at the former Checkpoint Charlie border crossing.

This is the route of the tour along the Berlin Wall

During the open-air documentation in Bernauer Strasse, the wide swath of the deadly border strip is kept visible over a length of more than 1 km. Find out how the Wall was built, how the border fortifications were extended and how the Wall came down. In addition to the political background of the time, we will show you authentic sites of spectacular escapes from the Wall, successful tunnel escapes and failed escape attempts. During our guided tours, you will also see the legendary Palace of Tears at the former border crossing at Friedrichstraße station, which today also houses a documentation center. Our tours end at Checkpoint Charlie. There you will find the Wall Museum and an exhibition on the Cold War, which you can then visit on your own. During our tour, we sometimes use public transportation.
