Berlin life in the Biedermeier period

Guided tours of the Museum Knoblauchhaus provide a free insight into the everyday life of Berlin's wealthy population two hundred years ago. Through the silk trade, architecture and the founding of a brewery, the Knoblauch family helped to shape Berlin life in the Biedermeier period. Today, their former home is a museum. Objects, pictures, letters and family documents take you back to a bygone era. The "Berlin Salon" on the upper floor also presents the metropolitan network of the silk merchant and politician Carl Knoblauch. On the museum's admission-free Sunday, our mediators offer further exciting insights into the period between the end of the Napoleonic Wars in 1815 and the revolution of 1848, and will be happy to answer your questions.

Price info: If possible, please book a time slot ticket online in advance in the Museum Sunday Berlin ticket shop. Tickets can be booked one week before Museum Sunday. Tickets are available on site for spontaneous visits.
