PLATFORM 14 celebrates! Five years of eclectic, surprising programs; five years of promoting the initiatives of young dance artists; five years of stylistic diversity on an international level. PLATFORM 14 invites you to a joyful reunion with new, inspiring pieces by marvelous artists from all previous editions of the festival.
A place to create – a place to perform – a place to connect: PLATFORM 14, the international dance platform, provides an inspiring and collegial environment for dance artists and dance enthusiasts, offering formats and opportunities to explore individual artistic approaches and share new movement experiences.
The diversity of styles on the program reflects the diversity of people, their (dance) cultures and their need to dance. PLATFORM 14 gives space to this diversity, breaking down the boundaries between styles and genres to bring into the theatre a variety that is still otherwise underrepresented there. The invited artists create a stimulating atmosphere together, enjoying a mutual exchange and sharing their passion for dance with the audience.

PLATFORM 14 is an initiative by contemporary dancers Roosa Nirhamo and Aseel Qupty in collaboration with Fenster zum Osten - shibak sharqi gGmbH. The platform, which takes place once a year, gives dance artists at the beginning of their careers the opportunity to show finished and unfinished pieces on stage for the first time. PLATFORM 14 sees itself as a space for creativity, for performance and for encounters, for lived solidarity and curiosity about dance diversity: A place to create. A place to perform. A place to connect!
