Is there a “common ground” where we can meet? Is it the breathing body or is it other vital bodily processes that connect us to the constant flow of exchange with other beings and social life? This piece creates a space in which we can meet each other. As the distance between bodies decreases, we breathe the same air, the heartbeat synchronizes, listening expands and the presence of the other is felt deep under the skin. Do the boundaries blur or do they intensify? In this encounter, tension, attention and intention unfold in the body, navigating both comfort and discomfort. What emerges from this encounter?
The performance takes place as part of SODA WORKS. Following two years of practice led research at the HZT Berlin, students graduating in MA Solo/Dance/Authorship present their final performance work.
