Kathak dancer, teacher, choreographer, and filmmaker Ghazal Ramzani creates an inclusive, community-oriented, and decolonial Kathak classroom for students of all levels. She teaches traditional Jaipur-style Kathak techniques and choreography, incorporating improvisation exercises. The rich heritage of Kathak draws from a diverse array of artists, including folk dancers, nomadic storytellers, Persian performers in Mughal courts, hereditary male Hindu artists, and female Muslim artists known as Tawaifs.
