What would it be like to bring two artists together for an experiment, similar to a hackerspace?
In the synusia of «DOPA» - a temporary action network for the free exchange of knowledge - Anna Lise Le Gac and Anat Bosak dismantle, improve and hijack system objects entrusted to them: actual and symbolic technologies such as a glowing organism, a code of conduct, a wifi box or a noisy, spinning art object made of garbage.
«DOPA» is a site-specific performance whose infrastructure is generated from the propellants of the space it occupies. For Tanzfabrik BÜHNE, the two artists infiltrate a Berlin store. They map energy sources, list restrictions, calculate watts burned and collect hidden stories.
«DOPA» confronts the audience with unexpected sensory experiences. The only thing they can be sure of is that they are constantly accompanied by the performers.
