Sound in the Garden / Unveiling: Alicja Kwade, Goldelse

Since August 13 of this year, Alicja Kwade's conceptual sculpture "Goldelse" (2021) has been on view in the sculpture garden of the Neue Nationalgalerie . The 160kg gilded bronze figure refers in form and content to the goddess of victory that sits atop Berlin's iconic Victory Column in Tiergarten, affectionately called "Goldelse" by many Berliners.
As part of Sound in the Garden, the "Unveiling" of the sculpture will take place in the sculpture garden on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 7 pm. Live music by ROSIN, Stabat Kater and DJ sets by lariferrarie & Rico Sperl.
The artist will be present.
Please note that capacity is limited and admission is only possible with a valid ticket. To book a mandatory ticket free of charge, please visit the pretix-Website. In case all regular tickets are booked out, please enter your name on the Waitlist.
Drinks will be served in the sculpture garden, courtesy of BRLO Craft Brewery, Rheinsberger Preussenquelle, Ron Zapaca. Much of the event will also be visible from the terrace, where Miesliwska Bar will be serving cold drinks.

The exhibitions "Extreme Tension", "Gerhard Richter. 100 Works for Berlin" und “Andy Warhol. Velvet Rage and Beauty” can be viewed free of charge from 4 bis 8 p.m., thanks to Volkswagen Group Art4All.
