in 2015, the SAITEN-ENSEMBLE-STEGLITZ (SES) was a guest at "Kultur in der Natur" for the first time and has since played several times at the Belvedere on the Pfingstberg. The orchestra was founded at the beginning of 1983 by 19 musicians in Berlin-Steglitz. Since then, players from East and West have joined the orchestra and numerous instrumentalists and vocal soloists have enriched the concert repertoire. The plucked string orchestra, which consists of mandolins, mandolas and guitars, is one of four active orchestras of its kind in Berlin and has been directed by Michael Kubik since 2018. It performs an extensive repertoire ranging from classical to folk and evergreens to modern music.

On 15.9. pieces from the current program "Cuba meets Europe" will be performed on the Pfingstberg. The music leads from Cuba via Ireland to Europe. The title piece "Danza Cubana" by Dominik Hackner even unites Cuba and Europe in itself: Cuban rhythms composed by a German composer can be heard here.
