The world on the brink again? Nothing more to be done? For real this time? Or are we perhaps moving towards a rainbow-coloured future after all? The multimedia anthology ›U0 Untergrundminiaturen‹ brings together texts, paintings, videos and sounds by 20 authors and artists who think beyond our futureless present and venture a look into our uncertain future, more precisely, into the Berlin of 2039. Where will this city, this country and this continent develop? What will we have achieved and what will we have missed? The hypermodern underground railway ›U0‹ serves as a crystal ball for literary and artistic visions.

The novella ›Wrackmente‹ by Lukas Meisner is a wilfully written memoir of a downfall at the time of its creation, i.e. now. In flooded Venice – once the epitome of colonialism and capitalism, now a symbol of mass tourism and climate catastrophe – four people try to live their lives. A life without a future. What remains when the worst fears become reality and the world around us blurs? What will remain when the ground beneath our feet liquefies, when everything sinks into the sea? And is there any prospect of salvation? Atlantis is here and now. In Europe and everywhere.

About Kopf & Kragen Literaturverlag:

›Kopf & Kragen‹ is an independent publisher of contemporary literature and art based in Berlin-Neukölln, founded in autumn 2021. The programme focuses on challenging, daring and progressive prose: novels, short stories and miniatures. ›Kopf & Kragen‹ also publishes controversial writings, limited edition art prints and handmade unique books.

The publishers love madness. The unsaid. The beautiful. They are optimists. Vigilant utopians. Radical humanists. They believe in the ability of language to reshape the world and want to revitalise visionary thinking with their books. A presumptuous thought? Oh yes!

More information about the publisher and the authors, artists and musicians taking part in the evening can be found here [.
