Fanny Hensel meets the Boys of the Bands

The unusual journey of Fanny Hensel's music to the USA.
Garden Songs op. 3 by Fanny Hensel and other songs by Felix Mendelssohn, Robert Schumann and Carl Reinecke will be performed.
They will be played in original arrangements for brass ensemble by John and George Stratton (from the collection in the Library of Congress, USA, published in 1871) and on period instruments:

Nathan Plante and Jia Lim: trumpet, cornet, alto horn
Louis Jake Kline and Jack Adler-McKean: baritone, bass tuba

This event is funded by the Berlin Senate Project Funding 2024.
