From Sufi Dub to Tanzanian Bongo Flava to Balochi Benjo sounds from Pakistan: the open-air music festival DURCHLÜFTEN presents concerts and DJ sets across continents and borders on four summer weekends (18 JULY - 10 AUGUST), each Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 19:00 in the inner courtyard of the Humboldt Forum - for free and outdoors.

Etuk Ubong is considered one of the most exciting trumpet players on the continent. Seun Kuti has described him as ‘one of the best things to come out of Lagos’. Ubong began playing the trumpet at the age of 14 and has not put it down since.

With his five-piece band, he creates his very own mix of complex brass arrangements and driving percussion. His music is not only incredibly fast-paced, but also conveys politically charged lyrics, especially on tracks such as African Struggle and Mass Corruption. After his celebreated appearance 2022 he is looking forward to encounter the Berlin audience again.
