Antinéa – Antinéa

Antinéa – Antinéa

The hard coal era in Germany has just come to an end.
In this country, hard coal mining existed mainly in the Ruhr region, but also in the Aachen area, in the Ibbenbüren mining area and still in some other areas.
Hard coal was mined underground. The miners had to excavate the coal up to 1000m below ground. There were many dangers down there and there were often accidents in which many lost their lives.
There was also underground mining in Andalusia. The situation for the miners there was no different. These difficult life situations were reflected in the culture of these people. In Andalusia, important flamenco songs were created in these regions that reflect life.
In Germany, the life of the miners is also reflected in songs and in their culture.
"De la Mina - aus'm Pütt" tells these stories. By means of passionate, spirited dance and sensitive music, the similarities, differences and parallels of both mining regions are presented.
