In September 2004, teachers at the Noah's Ark daycare center came up with the idea on the occasion of a kindergarten anniversary: "...why do children always have to sing for their parents? Why don't the teachers sing for the parents?" Jochen Silex was asked if he would like to rehearse a few songs with the teachers. After all, they needed a choirmaster. It was to be a one-off performance. On this condition, he agreed. But things turned out differently. After a few rehearsals, they were ready for the performance. And it went down really well with the parents and children. All refusals no longer helped. The women wanted to carry on. A choir was born that not only performed regionally.

On a concert trip to Prague, we met the actor Wolfgang Stumpf on the train. We spontaneously decided to serenade him and, lo and behold, he was enthusiastic and hummed along quietly. His voice, as he said, was no good for singing. We met Albano Power at the airport in Rome. We didn't get to serenade him, but we did make pleasant contact. And the concerts with Kathy Kelly were a highlight anyway.
