The collection presentation "Nationalgalerie. A collection for the 21st century" in the Hamburger Bahnhof shows a multi-voiced panorama of the Berlin art scene and the city itself from the threshold of the fall of the Wall to the present day. The presentation also includes numerous artists who work with music and sound and whose records are in the collection. In a conversation, the curators Catherine Nichols and Sven Beckstette address the interaction between art and music using audio examples from Joseph Beuys, Isa Genzken, Klaus Killisch, Martin Kippenberger, Emeka Ogboh, Wolfgang Tillmans, among others.
