Actors aus Vancouver kann man am besten als „Post-Post-Punk“-Band bezeichnen. Sie gehören in eine Reihe mit Bands wie The Soft Moon und Cold Cave, die ihre Musik mit einem tiefen Wissen über die Vergangenheit vorantreiben. Stilistisch nutzen die vier Kanadier:innen dabei das gesamte Spektrum von Post-Punk hin zu Dark und New Wave und formen so ihren treibenden und cinematischen Post-Punk mit Einflüssen von Bowie und Roxy Music.
