For the eight subscription concerts at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden and the Philharmonie, eight distinguished conductors have been engaged.

Some of the conductors are celebrating their debut (Elim Chan, Rafael Payare, Iván Fischer, Manfred Honeck and Jaap van Zweden), while others are repeat guests of the orchestra. The repertoire ranges from the proverbial "great symphonies" of the protagonists Bruckner, Mahler and Dvorák to two piano concertos by Beethoven and Saint-Saëns, Bartók's two violin concertos and two compositions by the South Korean composer Unsuk Chin, who lives in Berlin - a broad spectrum of music from the early 19th to the 21st century will be explored.
