Ludovico Einaudi, born on November 23, 1955 in Turin, is a renowned Italian pianist and composer. His passion for music was awakened at an early age by his mother, an amateur pianist. He studied music at the Turin Conservatory and graduated from the Milan Conservatory under Azio Corghi. He later worked with the well-known composers Luciano Berio and Karlheinz Stockhausen and won a scholarship to the Tanglewood Music Festival in 1982, where he came into contact with American minimalism.

Einaudi began his career composing for ballet, cinema and theater. Some of his early works include "Sul filo d'Orfeo" (1984), "Time out" (1988) and "The Wild Man" (1991). His breakthrough came in 1996 with the solo album "Le Onde", inspired by Virginia Woolf's novel "The Waves". This album and his subsequent works such as "Eden Roc" (1999) and "I Giorni" (2001) established him internationally. Over the course of his career, Einaudi has composed numerous film scores, including for "Doctor Zhivago" (2002) and "This is England" (2004 and 2010). His compositions are known for their emotional depth and minimalist style, reaching both classical and popular music charts.
His album "Divenire" (2006) with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the following "Nightbook" (2009) and "In a Time Lapse" (2013) showed a constant development of his style. With "Elements" (2015) and "Seven Days Walking" (2019), he continued on his creative path, combining elements of nature and everyday life in his music.

Einaudi has also given notable live performances at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and La Scala in Milan. In 2022, he released the solo piano album "Underwater", inspired by the calm during the lockdown. His music remains influential and is used in films such as "Nomadland" and "The Father". His ability to express profound emotion with minimalist means has earned him worldwide recognition and numerous awards (Classic FM) (The Famous People).
