He was at the head of the Staatskapelle Berlin for more than three decades, but at the beginning of 2023, he had to give up his position as General Music Director for health reasons. Daniel Barenboim is now returning to the Staatskapelle, the orchestra that he has conducted in countless concerts and opera performances and that he has played a key role in shaping over many years of intensive collaboration. His first concert as Honorary Principal Conductor of the Staatskapelle promises to be a special event for both the orchestra and the audience.
