Berlin St. Nicholas Run

Nikolauslauf

From the children's run to the half marathon: Participants of the St. Nicholas Run (Nikolauslauf) around Schlachtensee can choose between several distances.

The Berlin St. Nicholas Run sees itself as a running festival for the whole family. For young runners, there will be a young dhildren's and a schoolchildren's race. Adults can choose between the eighth, quarter, third, half and big 5 marathon. Those who like to race together with friends can register for the relay half marathon. The race also includes two competitions for (Nordic) walkers: an eighth marathon and a quarter marathon.

Route of the Berlin St. Nicholas Run

The course leads runners around the Schlachtensee. Depending on the distance, it must be completed several times: the lakeside trail is 5,303 meters long. In the half marathon, for example, four laps are completed. The course mostly consists of firm forest soil and park trails. Two rough root passages and a washed-out rain gutter are marked by the organizer. For about 100 meters, the participants run on asphalt.
