The F24 ferry line between Rahnsdorf and Müggelheim is unique in Berlin: the crossing is made by rowboat.
The ferry line F24 connects Rahnsdorf and Müggelheim in the district of Treptow-Köpenick on weekends and holidays from the beginning of May to the beginning of October. The historic ferry connection between Kruggasse and Spreewiesen was put into operation in 1911 and has since enjoyed great popularity among excursionists and residents, who save themselves long detours. Only twelve rowing strokes are needed for a crossing from one bank of the Müggelspree to the other. The F24 thus is the smallest ferry in Berlin and covers the shortest distance.
The ferry line F24 is a seasonal ferry and runs every hour on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays between 11 AM and 7PM. In 2022, the operation of the F24 starts on April 30 and ends on October 03. There are no trips from Monday to Friday.
Since the F24 is operated by BVG, it can be used with a valid short-distance ticket (one way). Each crossing can carry eight passengers or four passengers plus four bicycles. Tandems and e-bikes are excluded from transportation due to their weight. The crossing takes approximately five minutes.

The ferry F24 departs from the pier at Kruggasse in Rahnsdorf or at the Spreewiesen in Müggelheim. Rahnsdorf has an S-Bahn station in fare zone B, which is served by the S3. The Bus line 161 leaves Rahnsdorf station in the direction of Kruggasse, the closest stop to the pier is Grünheider Weg. From there, a short walk will take you to the ferry. Meanwhile, Müggelheim does not have its own rail connection, but can be reached from the Köpenick S-Bahn station by taking the bus line X69. From there, you also have to walk a few meters to the pier.
